Meet The CEO

Guilaine Menefee is the owner of Menefee Associates Consulting, LLC, which helps entrepreneurs with business plans, business development and start up their own firms.  In 2017, Guilaine founded her 3rd company, Your Fitness Network (bka YFN), an online fitness platform where coaches provide personal training and meal plans.  Her 1st passion and love is health and nutrition. Guilaine is a 2-time professional bodybuilder and avid health advocate, who’s passionate about helping others make health and fitness a lifestyle and most importantly, priority.

Guilaine is a wife and mother of 2.  Originally from MA, she completed undergrad at Univ of Hartford and earned her MBA at Stern School of Business (NYU), where she concentrated in Strategy and Corporate Finance. This launched her to her 1st client, MassMutual, where she led M&A post-merger integration efforts in their Investments business areas.  She continued through her firm to work with clients like the state of CT, small businesses and even advising the town of Manchester, for example.

Guilaine, as a small business owner herself, is driven to position Menefee as the small business solution provider, through her consulting practice, training and working as a business or executive coach to entrepreneurs.  She wants to see small businesses, especially women-owned, be economically empowered and sustainable. In her many hats, Guilaine also drives this mission through her leadership at the Black Business Alliance as their Executive Director.  Guilaine understands that when entrepreneurs are aware of resources available to them as business owners and educated how to wield their business acumen and network, then they can truly be empowered to create and sustain their own businesses.

Guilaine is a very active member of her community.  She is the President of the CT National Black MBA Association and proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. In her town of Bloomfield, she is a member of the Board of Directors for the Bloomfield Junior Soccer Association, in which she is their Winter league Futsal Director.  "Being an active constituent in my community is important in my lifelong pursuit to positively influence, educate and volunteer my God-given talents for the betterment of others."  Guilaine has been recognized for her efforts in media outlets like the Hartford Courant, Fox 61 and most recently, Hartford Business Journal 2018’s 40 Under 40, to name a few.  Guilaine hopes that through her companies, her service and what she represents, she can make businesses and the community alike a more social conscious, economically sustainable and healthier place to be.
